Tony Merritt

Tony completed his undergraduate and postgraduate training at the University of New South Wales. He has undertaken advanced training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing. Tony has also completed intensive training in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) with BehaviourTech. Tony is registered to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in New South Wales and is registered as a provider of clinical psychology services with Medicare. He is a member of the Australian Psychological Society College of Clinical Psychologists, The Australian Clinical Psychology Association, The Australian Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy, The Association for Contextual Behavioural Science, and The International Association for the Study of Pain.Tony is a highly experienced clinician with many years experience working with people with chronic pain. Tony worked at RPA Hospital Pain Management Centre for ten years where he ran the clinical psychology and pain management programmes. Tony has worked as part of several highly regarded pain managemnet teams in private practice, including Eastern Suburbs Pain Clinic and Camperdown Pain Management. He has conducted and published research on chronic pain and has presented at local and international conferences. He has written several book chapters on chronic pain, including a soon to be published international handbook on chronic pain that has chapters by many world-wide experts on chronic pain. Tony is also a lecturer at the University of New South Wales where he teaches chronic pain in the Masters of Clinical Psychology programme.

Victoria Woolger

Victoria works as our Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Services Manager. She joined our team in 2021 having come from the UK where she had been working as a nurse, predominantly in the specialities of critical care and then pain management, for over 21 years. She has undertaken specific post-registration training and held several senior/specialist posts in these fields of practice. Victoria obtained her Bachelors Degree in Nursing, and her Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Practice from the University of Surrey, UK, and her Masters Degree in Clinical Practice from the University of West London, UK. She holds nursing registration in both the UK and Australia, with endorsements as a non-medical prescriber in the UK, and as a Nurse Practitioner here in Australia. Victoria is a member of the British Pain Society, Australian Pain Society, International Association for the Study of Pain, and the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners. Victoria plays a key role in teaching patients within our service about pain management, as well as providing teaching and education to referrers in the community. She has a passion for excellence and the delivery of high-quality and timely care for patients and works closely with Specialists, GP’s, Allied Health Professionals, and hospitals to deliver this. Victoria’s special interests are in the clinical governance, risk management and service improvement aspects of her senior role within the practices.

Jessica Statham

Jessica has worked in high level administrative roles in a variety of fields over the last 15 years, from the corporate sector to the arts sector and the last 6 years in allied health. Her diversity of experience is one of the many strengths she brings to her role at Sydney Clinical Psychology. She is passionate about creating a welcoming and open environment here at the practice and is committed to providing the highest level of support and assistance to all our clients and staff. She is proud to be a part of such a dedicated team of professionals. She has a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Arts Administration), is undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and is an active member of the Australian Association of Practice Managers.

Elisabeth Lynton

Say hello to Elisabeth Lynton, our Finance Manager with over 20 years of experience in business administration. With a Diploma of Accounting, and as a registered BAS agent and member of the Australian Bookkeepers Network, Elisabeth has brought an exceptional level of financial expertise to our team since joining in 2017.She’s a stickler for detail, ensuring that our financial systems run smoothly and accurately. But what really sets Elisabeth apart is her commitment to our company’s success. She’s always looking for ways to improve our financial processes and support our team in achieving our goals. When she’s not busy keeping our books in order, you’ll likely find her with her nose buried in a good book or out dancing with friends. We’re grateful to have her as a member of our team!
